Kristy and Johnno's wedding was so fun to photograph thanks to their charmingly laid back personalities (well, Kristy assured me she was nervous but I really couldn't tell). The first half of the day took place in Spotswood where Kristy grew up (and where I have vowed to return soon to have breakfast at a really cute cafe that caught my eye in the main street). Kristy and her bridesmaids got ready at her parents' house, conveniently located right across the road from the church. We kept it local after the ceremony too by doing our portraits just down the road. Told you it was laid back! I love shooting in industrial settings so I was super stoked that Kristy and Johnno were happy to have their portraits taken in the quiet, industrial streets. Their reception was held at Quat Quatta and I was extremely happy to be able to shoot at this venue, not just because my meal was delicious (which is always a plus!) but because my parents were married there exactly 40 years ago, and I'd never actually seen it. It's a beautiful venue and I'm excited to be going back for 2 more weddings in the next few months! Kristy and Johnno, thanks for putting on such a fabulous wedding and for having me along for the ride!
